Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in her respective events.
