Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident as early as the day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came with a second-place finish in the 200 meters of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix finished high school signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion in the 200-meter event. The title was upheld once again in 2007, by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top 3 in all her races.
